I think my laser printer does a better job than the inkjet. The ink doesn’t stay very well when it comes off the inkjet. I used them on my red wedding invitation envelops. The gold foil labels do stand out and they gave an elegant look, too.
These labels work great; I used them with Adobe Illustrator (and the online templates therefor) and had no problems. However, there is a regular 8.5×11 piece of paper in the box with the labels with “label outlines” to use as a test, and, for whatever reason, THAT did not conform well to the template. So when I did a trial run it was rather disappointing, but I just said, “Screw it.” And printed a (partial) sheet of labels, which came out perfect. Not sure why the trivial components of the package would be the least well implemented, but be warned. That said, the final product was great.
You’ll also want to use bold text on these, since the bold labels I made look MUCH better and are MUCH more readable than the more stylized, thin fonts I tried out. Never order anything from Shoplet. They advertised this product as 250 sheets per carton, when shipped was only 100 sheets per carton. Have called, emailed, begged for rma#, finally received but have not received credit. Terrible experience
Now that I am the committee secretary for my son’s Boy Scout troop, I volunteered to set up a troop newsletter. Well, writing the newsletter turned out to be the easy part – the hard part was either hand-writing the envelopes, or stuffing the envelopes through my printer one at a time. Now that is no longer a problem.
All I have to do now is feed a sheet of these labels through my printer, and I can print up a batch of mailing labels and be all ready. Setting up the format through my word processor was quick and easy, and the actual printing is a snap. So far, I have printed quite a few pages of these, and I have experienced absolutely no problems with labels coming off inside the printer or anything like that.
